Common Issues

Server and/or Streamer crashing on startup

This can be caused by outdated Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) installed on the machine.

Check that the installed version on the PC is equal to or greater than the minimum listed on the System Requirements page, and uninstall any older versions.

The latest version of the Redistributable can be downloaded from https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe.

Remote Player not connecting to Server

A common reason for a Remote Player instance not correctly connecting to Server is the web browser being used is an old, unsupported version.

Ensure that the browser being used for the Remote Player is either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, and that its version is equal to or higher than what is listed on the System Requirements page.

Diagnostic & Log Files

Log files for Performaar Server and Streamer can be found in the following directories on each machine the software is installed on:

  • Performaar Server: %APPDATA%/Second Wave Holdings Pty Ltd/Server/logs
  • Performaar Streamer: %APPDATA%/Second Wave Holdings Pty Ltd/Streamer/logs
