Importing Recordings

A recording folder from an external source (e.g. from a different instance of Performaar Server) can be imported into Server.

warning

To import an external recording you need to have the entire debrief folder, including all the video files, the DIS data, any transcript files, and most importantly, the debrief.yaml metadata file.

  1. Copy the debrief folder into the media storage root. By default, the media storage root is at %APPDATA%\Second Wave Holdings Pty Ltd\Server\media.
  2. In the Performaar UI, navigate to the Recordings page.
  3. Click Import button.
  4. Enter the path to the debrief.yaml file for the recording that's being imported, relative to media storage root folder.
    • For example, if the recording folder is at %APPDATA%\Second Wave Holdings Pty Ltd\Server\media\external\my-recording, then path entered in the Import Recording dialog should be external/my-recording/debrief.yaml.
    • note

Use forward slashes / when entering the path to the debrief.yaml file, instead of the backward slashes \ typical in Windows paths.

  5. Click the Import button.

The newly imported recording should now be part of the Recordings list.
